Empowering Through Skill and Knowledge

IDC prioritizes training and capacity building as the most effective tools for community resilience.

Safety & Scouting

Professional scouting, security assessments, and emergency preparedness to build safer communities.

About Safety and Resilience

IDC’s Safety & Scouting program is a volunteer-led initiative focused on ensuring safe and secure public gatherings, particularly during religious and community events. Trained scouts conduct on-ground risk assessments, manage crowd flow, and coordinate closely with relevant institutions to prevent and respond to potential threats. Through structured training in security awareness, threat analysis, and emergency response, IDC has built a network of disciplined volunteers who act as first responders within their communities. The program plays a critical role in strengthening public safety while fostering a culture of preparedness and active citizenship. IDC is currently providing scouting services in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Quetta and we are expanding!

Disaster Response

We equip young people with practical tools to lead social action projects and strengthen community resilience.

About Disaster Response

IDC delivers rapid and structured disaster response through a three-phase model: Relief, Recovery, and Resilience. In crises such as the 2025 floods in Southern Punjab, IDC mobilized teams on-ground to provide immediate support including food, shelter, hygiene kits, and medical assistance, ensuring timely relief to the most affected communities. Beyond emergency response, IDC continues to support affected populations through long-term rehabilitation efforts. Following incidents like the Tarlai tragedy, the organization has implemented structured recovery programs including financial assistance, education support, and livelihood initiatives. This approach ensures that support goes beyond short-term aid, enabling communities to rebuild with dignity and become more resilient to future challenges.

By equipping women with practical, income-generating skills such as stitching, beautician training, graphic design, and MS Office, the program enables financial independence and long-term stability. With over 12,000 women trained and hundreds now employed or running their own businesses, Rozgar Colleges have created a strong pathway from learning to earning. Beyond skills training, these centers serve as safe and supportive spaces where women build confidence, community, and a sense of empowerment.
