Scouting and volunteer services in Islamabad during upcoming Muharram
Today, leadership representatives from Imamia Disaster Management Cell (IDC) had the honour of meeting Mr. Jawad Tariq, DIG Operations Islamabad Police. We are deeply grateful for the warm welcome extended by the Islamabad Police and the genuine enthusiasm they expressed for our work.
During the meeting, IDC shared an update on its ongoing scouting and volunteer services in Islamabad during upcoming Muharram, and expressed its intent to further expand this support in coordination with Islamabad Police. The DIG Operations, kindly and warmly welcomed the idea and expressed his full support for future collaboration. He also appreciated the role of youth in volunteerism and encouraged IDC to explore internship opportunities for its members within the police department.
Additionally, he suggested that IDC work more formally under the “Friends of Islamabad Police” initiative following Ashura, paving the way for long-term coordination.
We are deeply grateful to Islamabad Police — and especially to DIG Operations, Sir Jawad — for their warmth, encouragement, and confidence in IDC. We look forward to working under their guidance, in the spirit of service and discipline.
